Decades in the making, Chicago’s Southeast Side Parks have transformed from abandoned industrial sites and brownfields into thousands of acres of restored land — rich with industrial, natural, and indigenous history.

Design B&B partnered with the Chicago Park District on a multi-year campaign for the Southeast Side that embraces the energy and potential of the area. Bright greens and graphic greys merge the industrial heritage with the vibrant parks of today. One of my favorite elements, the Junior Explorer Guide, has 60 pages of custom illustration and activities to inspire young park-goers.
